This Privacy Policy explains what information Mediarun Digital Private Limited ("we", "us", "our") collects when you visit harehare.in or book a puja through our website, how we use it, and how we protect it. By using the website, you agree to the practices described below.
1. What This Website Does
The HareHare website lets you:
- Read about our company, brand, and products
- Browse and book pujas, with payment processed securely via Razorpay
- Sign in with your mobile number to view and manage your own bookings
The website does not offer AI chat or the spiritual tracker โ those features exist only in the HareHare mobile app.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 When you sign in
To let you view and manage your bookings, the website uses a simple sign-in:
- Mobile number โ verified by a one-time password (OTP) through Google Firebase Authentication
- Session cookie โ an essential, first-party cookie that keeps you signed in while you use the site (see Section 5)
2.2 When you book a puja
At checkout, the following details are collected to fulfil your booking:
- Full name of the devotee
- Date of birth (required for ritual purposes)
- Gotra (clan lineage โ required for Vedic rituals)
- Preferred date for the puja
- Mobile number for confirmation and updates
- Email address for your order receipt
- Shipping address if you have opted for prasad delivery
2.3 Automatically collected data
- IP address and approximate location โ for security and fraud prevention
- Browser and device type โ for compatibility and reliability
- Essential cookies โ the first-party session cookie described in Section 5
3. How We Use Your Information
- To process, confirm, and manage your puja booking
- To let you sign in and view your own booking history
- To share your ritual details (name, gotra, DOB, preferred date) with the temple or pandit performing your puja
- To send booking confirmations and status updates via WhatsApp and/or email
- To dispatch prasad to your address if requested
- To prevent fraud and misuse
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
4. Payments
Puja payments are processed through Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway.
Important:
- We never see or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or any sensitive payment credentials. These are handled entirely by Razorpay on their secure servers.
- Your order details (puja selected, amount, name, contact) are stored by us in Google Firebase (Firestore) for booking management and dispute resolution.
- Razorpay processes payment data under their Privacy Policy.
- All transactions use TLS encryption.
5. Cookies
We use a single essential first-party cookieto keep you signed in to your account and to secure your session. Without it, sign-in and the "My Bookings" area cannot function. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. You can block or delete cookies via your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from signing in.
6. Data Sharing
- Temple / pandit partners: your name, gotra, DOB, and preferred date โ for ritual fulfilment only
- Razorpay: to process your payment as described in Section 4
- Meta (WhatsApp Business): your mobile number, to deliver booking confirmations and status updates
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud: to authenticate sign-in, store booking records, and host the website
- Legal compliance: if required by law or valid legal process
- Business transfers: in the event of a merger or acquisition, subject to equivalent privacy protections
We do not sell your personal data.

8. Data Retention
- Booking records are retained for a minimum of 3 years for legal and accounting purposes
- Prasad shipping addresses are deleted once the order is fulfilled
- Security logs (IP addresses, request metadata) are retained for up to 30 days
9. Your Rights
Regarding personal data collected through this website, you may:
- Request access to the data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your booking data (subject to legal retention requirements in Section 8)
- Object to certain processing of your data

10. Children
This website and its puja booking service are intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
