Account Deletion

This page explains how to request deletion of your HareHare account and the personal data associated with it. We provide two ways to delete your account.
Option 1: Delete your account inside the app
- Open the HareHare app
- Go to the Profile tab
- Open the Help & Support section and tap "Delete account"
- Read the deletion guide, then tap "I want to delete my account"
- Tick all three acknowledgements, type DELETE, and tap "Permanently delete"
This multi-step confirmation exists so an account can never be deleted by a single accidental tap. Your account and associated data will be deleted immediately once you complete these steps.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, send an email to info@mediarun.co.in from the email address registered to your HareHare account with the subject line "Delete my account".
We will verify your identity and process your request within 30 days.
What data is deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:
- Your profile details (name, mobile number, date of birth, email)
- Your authentication credentials
- Your chat history and conversation sessions
- Your token balance, usage quotas, and progress data
- Your saved preferences and app settings
- Any location data previously stored against your account
- Your religious and spiritual preferences (deity selections, chant counts, checklists, etc.)
What data is retained, and for how long
For legal, security, and fraud-prevention reasons, a limited set of data may be retained after account deletion:
- Anonymised analytics: Retained indefinitely. This data cannot be linked back to your identity.
- Server logs (IP addresses, request metadata): Retained up to 30 days for security and abuse-prevention purposes.
- Records required by law: Any records we are legally required to keep (for example under applicable tax, accounting, or law-enforcement obligations) are retained only for as long as legally required.
- Backups: Residual copies of your data in encrypted backups are purged within 60 days of account deletion.
Processing time
In-app deletions are processed immediately. Email-based deletion requests are processed within 30 days. Backup purges complete within an additional 60 days.
Important notes
- Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
- You will lose access to your chat history, token balance, and any in-app data.
- If you reinstall the app after deletion, you will need to create a new account.
Partial data deletion
If you want to delete specific data (such as your chat history) without deleting your entire account, contact us at info@mediarun.co.in and describe what you would like removed.
